Veterans, Families Benefit from Campaign at Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers
Month-long round up event begins Nov. 1
Niles, Ohio – In support of the Folds Of Honor organization, we are excited to announce a new partnership established with Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers and its management group, DJ Hospitality Group.
During the month of November, Freddy’s will run a campaign where guests can round up their total by the nearest dollar amount in-restaurant, or by $1, $3, $5 or $10 either in-app or online. These funds 100% benefit military veterans and their families along with first responders’ families across Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and beyond.
Since 2017, this Folds of Honor initiative has provided scholarships to spouses and children of America’s fallen heroes or disabled members. As of 2022, the mission has grown to include families of America’s first responders.
Folds of Honor aligns with supporting the namesake of Freddy’s.
“Freddy Simon, founder of Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, was a World War II veteran. Supporting our nation’s heroes and their families is an honor and responsibility,” said Dominic Gatta, DJ Hospitality COO & executive vice president of construction and development. “To have our local restaurants team up with the rest throughout the nation for an inaugural campaign, generating funds that will benefit veterans, military and first responders, is incredible.”
And, this partnership with Freddy’s strengthens the reach for Folds of Honor’s ultimate mission.
“Helping the dependents of American heroes pursue their educational dreams is possible only with the generosity of corporations and everyday citizens. Folds of Honor needs the help of corporate partners, like Freddy’s, for this mission to be successful,” said Erica Halada, Regional Impact Officer for Folds of Honor.
Ben Leslie, Chief Impact Officer with Folds of Honor, echoed the same enthusiasm for partnering with Freddy’s.
“We feel thrilled to be partnering with Freddy’s, a brand that truly values supporting veterans and their families nationwide. The funds raised throughout this month go toward providing the children of military members with scholarships and other educational support,” Leslie said.
