DJ Hospitality Rounds Up to Help Our Heroes
Freddy’s Franchisee DJ Hospitality Group Partners with Back the Heroes Rumble Month Long Round Up Campaigns to benefit Operation Open Arms
West Chester, Ohio, Aug 27th, 2022 – In Support of Back the Heroes Rumble’s program Operation Open Arms, and its directives, we are excited to announce a new partnership being established with Freddy’s franchisee, DJ Hospitality Group. Each year, during the months of October and May, Freddy’s Guests can round up their order total to the nearest dollar and donate the difference. These funds will 100% benefit the lives of first responders by providing lifesaving equipment to law enforcement and firefighters across Ohio, Indiana & Kentucky. The goal of Operation Open Arms is to ensure all officers and firefighters have resources such as emergency trauma kits, high grade particulate protective hoods and more to aid in their efforts while they serve and protect our communities. It is the organization’s hope that providing these many resources will ensure our first responders make it home to their families safely each night. Guests can participate in the round up campaign anytime they visit Freddy’s (dine in or drive thru) between October 1st and 31st at participating locations throughout Cincinnati, Dayton, and Cleveland. The Round Up Campaign will return next May and will continue biannually as a part of DJ Hospitality Group’s support of Operations Open Arms.
“We have been blessed by so many individual supporters as well as support from our many corporate partners and to now be joining forces with Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers franchisee DJ Hospitality Group. We would not be able to save the lives of so many heroes without their support. As a one hundred percent volunteer organization like ours, all donations make a direct impact,” said Executive Director, Carl Whalen.
Operation Open Arms has provided $34,000 in critical resources and lifesaving equipment to 22 police and fire departments since its inception. “There are many officers under attack these days, more than ever before. We must, as a community, do everything in our power to support them so we are able to ensure the safety of our communities. Without the help of our donors and sponsors, we would not be able to help save the lives of those who answer the call so selflessly every day,” says Jason Marsh, Program Director
